Account Deletion

Last updated: November 2, 2026

This page explains how to delete your account in the KanKoa app, published by Mobeelis S.A.S., and the data associated with it, in line with your right to erasure (Article 17 of the GDPR). You can make your request by email, without opening or reinstalling the app.

Send an email from the address linked to your KanKoa account, with the subject “Account deletion”, to delete@kankoa.com. This address is dedicated to deletion requests.

If you still have access to the app, you can also delete your account immediately from Account › Account Settings › Delete Account.

A subscription purchased on the web is cancelled automatically when your account is deleted. However, deletion does not cancel a subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play: cancel it first from your Apple or Google account settings so you are no longer charged. If you want to keep a copy of your documents, download them before sending your request.

Include the email address of your account in your message. No proof of identity is required. If the request is not sent from the account’s address, we will ask you to confirm it from that address, to make sure it really comes from the account holder.

We acknowledge your request, then delete your account within one month of receiving it at most. This period may be extended by two months if the request is complex; we would let you know within the first month. You receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

Deletion covers your account and profile (email, name, username, date of birth), the assets you have recorded (vehicles, appliances, contracts, warranties), imported photos and documents, your reminders, events, notifications and preferences, as well as your subscription data held by our provider RevenueCat. It is permanent: this data cannot be recovered.

After deletion, only the billing logs of your subscriptions are kept, for 10 years, because the law requires it for accounting and tax purposes. Backup copies containing your data are erased as they rotate out, within 30 days at most.

If you do not receive a reply in time or believe your request was not handled properly, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (the French data protection authority).
